Staten Island Will See Two More Homes Built In Its Future

In the New York City Department of Buildings’ Weekly Statistical Report of permits accepted between November 3rd and November 9th, Staten Island saw only two new residential building permit acceptances.

With just the two permits accepted for that week, it seems that the amount of new buildings permits being applied for is decreasing with the start of the cold weather.  Last November, Staten Island only saw sixteen new residential building permits accepted, which we will hopefully see this year again, if not more.  We are now at three hundred and seventy-five new building permit acceptances for the year so far, which is only five acceptances away from being one hundred over last year’s total.

Of the two new building permits, one was for the South Shore, while the other was for the Mid-Island section of Staten Island.  Here is a look at where these new buildings will be constructed:
