To the south of the Staten Island Mall, below Arthur Kill Road, you will find a block of beautifully maintained homes on Leverett Avenue. One of these homes is 506 Leverett Avenue. From the outside, you will find that the home has a driveway, a built-in garage, lovely siding, and a beautiful bay window. This may not be much from one looking in, but once you get inside, you will find the true beauty of the home. Currently, the house has to carpet atop its gorgeous, hardwood flooring. On the other side of the bay window, you have the large, open living room, which is separate from the dining room. The eat-in-kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator and a dishwasher.
The garage, which we saw from the outside, has been converted into a cozy family room. However, it can be easily converted back into a garage. There are four bedrooms in the house, including the master bedroom, which has a large walk-in closet and its own, beautiful ¾ bathroom. This bathroom has a gorgeous faux-stone wall and a beautiful vanity. There are two more bathrooms in the house, aside from the master bathroom. Above the second floor, you have the attic, which is used for storage. On the lower level, you have sliders, which lead to the back of the house. Here, you have an above-ground pool and a shed.
We’ve already mentioned that the Staten Island Mall is to the north of the home. Even closer still, is Waldbaum’s Supermarket and King Kullen Grocery, which are located within Greenridge Plaza. There are many other places to shop and eat around the home, putting aside the remainder of stores located within Greenridge Plaza. There is also a handful of parks in the vicinity. These include King Fisher Park and Siedenburg Park, to the east, in addition to Latourette Park and Golf Course, to the north. Heading further southeast, you have Great Kills Park, with its marina.
The best part, however, is the number of options you have for public transportation, which surrounds the house. On Leverett Avenue, you can take the x7 or x8 express buses into Midtown or Lower Manhattan, respectively. Further, east, you can take the s54 on Giffords Lane, which will take you to points between West New Brighton and Eltingville. To the north, you have Arthur Kill Road, where you can access the s74 to the St. George Ferry Terminal or the Bricktown Mall, or the s15 express bus into Lower Manhattan. To the west of the house is Richmond Avenue, where you have several other options. The local buses that run along this street are the s59, to Port Richmond or Tottenville; the s89, to Eltingville or Bayonne, New Jersey; and the s79, to the Staten Island Mall or Bay, Ridge Brooklyn. Your express bus options on this street are the x1 and x5 into Midtown Manhattan, as well as the x4 into Lower Manhattan.
There are also a number of schools surrounding the house. These include the public schools of P.S. 42, at 380 Genesee Ave.; P.S. 32, at 32 Elverton Avenue; P.S. 8, at 100 Lindenwood Road; I.S. 24, at 225 Cleveland Avenue; the College of Staten Island High School for International Studies, and the McCown Expeditionary Learning School, which are both located at 100 Essex Drive. The nearest Catholic schools are St. Clare School, at 151 Lindenwood Road; St. Patrick’s School, at 3560 Richmond Road; and Monsignor Farrell High School, at 2900 Amboy Road. Eltingville Lutheran School, at 300 Genesee Avenue; Rabbi Jacob Joseph School, at 400 Caswell Avenue; and Francis School, at 4240 Amboy Road, are just a few of the private schools surrounding the home. Information on schools should only be used as a reference and should not be used to determine school zoning eligibility.
