Tech Corner: Gear Up Your Halloween, The Tech Way!

Whether you attended New York’s Comic Con, or watched as it flooded your social media feed, there are chances you saw the most amazing cosplay ever!

The Iron Man Hulkbuster armor was 9.5 feet tall, weighed 95 pounds, and took 1,600 hours to build! This handmade costume won the NYCC’s Eastern Champion of Cosplay! And it got us thinking; what kind of tech made costumes can we come up with for Halloween?

Cyborg

Cyborg is a being with both organic and biomechatronic parts. He is also a fictional superhero that appears in DC Comics, best known as a member of the Teen Titans and Justice League reboot. This costume can be made by disassembling old printers, CPUs, speakers, and screens. Weld, glue, and screw the parts together to construct your armor and weaponry.

Ghostbusters

How many ghostbuster costumes have you seen with working proton packs that have flashing control lights? Visit our Pinterest to learn how you can zap away ghost with your own handmade Arduino laser.

High Tech Fairy

Make your fairy costume come to life and digitally dazzle with wings that glow. With battery powered LEDs, it can be possible! Tinkerbell will impressed!
