  1. Color of the Year. Pantone’s color of the year are Rose Quartz AND Serenity! This double color should inspire you to add shades of pink, peach, lavender, and indigo into your home. These colors are welcoming in any room of your house, in multiple combinations.
  2. Pendants. We love chandeliers and so does 2016! The new year is all about statement pendants and lighting.
  3. Decorating with Greenery. Homeowners are now experimenting on how to bring the outdoors in. One way this is being completed is by buying furniture that can be used both inside and outside! Other ways is through wall decor, accessories, and small plants all inspired by wildlife and the great outdoors.
  4. Mixed Material and Geometric Tiles in Kitchens. Your kitchen should eschew the perfect polished look with more of an eclectic vibe. Homeowners, it is time to incorporate a variety of styles to create a truly personal look. Decorative backsplash is a strong trend for some time now. Introduce the geometric pattern through tiles. Paired with cement or wood, the backsplash, patterned floor, or countertop will bring this mixed look in strongly.
  5. Black Stainless Steel. A new appliance color will be changing kitchen trends. Introducing a new polished look to stainless steel! Instead of the silver, black stainless steel will provide a sleek look to this future trend.
  6. Tech Free Living Rooms. While we all know tech-filled homes are not going to go anywhere, anytime soon, families are opening up about keeping their living rooms unplugged and tech-free! Focus more on the design and layout in this room and how it can bring your family closer, without the use of gadgets.
  7. Formal Dining Rooms. Get ready to have sit down family dinners make a comeback! More homeowners are opting to have a formal dining room. Have all the necessary dinnerware with a complete set of dishes and tablescape objects needed to host the perfect dinner: gravy boats, footed bowls, cloth napkins, serving platters, etc.
